Are you available for work right now?

Why are good web designers waiting for work when there are countless business owners who need their help?

It’s because most business owners don’t think their website is the bottleneck in their business.

I talk to a lot of local business owners, and I’ve noticed an interesting change. Business owners aren’t stuck needing a new/better website because they can’t find a “professional web designer” to work with.

They just don’t care enough about their website to do anything about it.

So if you’re positioning yourself as the person who builds professional websites, people aren’t seeing you as the solution to the problem they’re having.

Good web designers are lowering their prices or even giving up when they should be doing exactly the opposite. They should be doubling-down and raising their prices.

Local business owners obviously still need websites. People still search on Google. Google Maps rankings are heavily influenced by website content. The information showing up in AI is coming from websites.

The web designers who are crushing it right now just shifted their positioning.

They stopped running businesses focused on website production and became known as marketing experts who help local businesses grow beyond word-of-mouth.

Keep using the skills you already have. Just change the problem people think you’re solving for them.

When you stand up and take responsibility for some of your clients’ success, you will notice a huge shift in both the quantity and quality of your leads.

So how do you make that shift and start conversations with business owners who see you as more than a web designer?

In tomorrow’s email, you’ll see how we’re using Small Favor Marketing to start those conversations.

We’re seeing response rates as high as 20%, and instead of feeling like you’re bothering people, business owners actually thank you for reaching out.

See you here tomorrow,

Lee Blue
